Any time you play an international team and keep them to 50 points defensively you're doing an outstanding job.

They just make you play a ragged game. They are extremely well-coached and they always have a good defense. I'm pleased to put up 82 points on them, and I thought we were outstanding defensively.

This was an outstanding effort by all of the girls tonight. We got after it defensively and that helped us stay in the game. We held a good team to 36 total points.

Defensively, we didn't play as well as we'd like to. But we were faced with an outstanding Michigan State offensive football team that everyone in the Big Ten will have fits with also.

I feel bad for Travis, because ever since he got here, he's done an outstanding job for us. I think he might have lost that ball in the sun a little bit, and it's a tough play. They aren't as deep, but those kids that are out there know they are going to be out there. They're a very athletic team, long and rangy. I think they're a very confident team. They play with a great deal of confidence and you're able to see that. Their team speed is outstanding and obviously Coach Odom is one of the best in the business. They've been on a tear here down the stretch and they were on the verge of winning their conference tournament before coming up a little short. They've gone on the road to win some big-time games in this tournament, at Cincinnati and at Florida State . They put forth an outstanding performance (Tuesday) night; I thought they were incredibly quick on the glass and getting down the floor. They are a very confident group that seems to play well together.

Defensively we broke down numerous times. You can't play a team like that - a playoff-contending team - and expect to give up those kinds of goals. I'm not going to blame any one person. We didn't play well defensively.

I think we worked hard defensively as a team. And that was good, because we were missing (Iverson?s) 30 points, so we had to play better defense tonight.

I can't say enough about the outstanding play of our team. We came ready to play. I'm proud of out team; we keep getting better every game. If we keep working and keep focused, we'll be hard to beat by playoff time.

What I think is tremendous about her effort is, obviously she got 35 points, but defensively every game we ask her to take the other team's best player or playmaker — the player that makes that team go. So, you're asking a kid to do that at both ends of the court, defensively and offensively. What a gamer! I'm very proud of her.
