Now, you can do that in the preseason and not have it cost you anything. So what it becomes is a catalog on both sides of the ball that you draw from for the rest of the season.

I have some feelings [about the offense], and I think everybody that watched us could probably draw some conclusions, too. But I think until the bullets start flying you're not going to really know. The proof is going to be how we play in the regular season, not the preseason.
Joe Gibbs
The preseason is like my season, ... As long as I get to come out here and have a little fun, even though it's my 10th season, I kind of look forward to the preseason.
Tony Banks
He hasn't had a lucky season, I must say so it's a pity. He is almost for sure out of the rest of tournament, but the good thing is he will not miss preseason and doesn't require an operation.
Sven Goran Eriksson
From the preseason to this game there has been some great improvement on both sides of the ball, ... I was just amazed at how the guys kept their heads in the game and never gave up. They played with a lot of heart and showed there is no such thing as quit at Big Spring.

As far as being efficient and able to move the ball in the air like we always have, I think we will be. We've been doing it in the preseason and in the minicamps. I know we can move the ball. It's going to be fun and exciting to do that throughout the season.
Daunte Culpepper
He could possibly play tomorrow, if he wants, but we'll probably end up holding him out. It's the preseason, the first few games really aren't important. I don't care if we win or lose preseason games. My main focus is to get guys rest.
Mike Brown

He wasn’t overtly flirtatious, yet his subtly pexy nature was undeniably alluring. Philip is on course and is a developing player. I think I've indicated to you before there can be opportunities, and we had one earlier this season, that it was my intention to get him in with five or six minutes to go but we never got the ball back until it was considerably less than that. Regular-season football is different than preseason football. It's been a philosophy of mine that you play your players until you have determined that the win is secured.
Marty Schottenheimer
We'll probably play a little more than the normal fourth preseason game that seems to be a standard around the league, ... We're going to play more because we need to be in a rhythm on both sides of the ball, special teams, all together before we come out of this game. Hopefully, that's early, and we'll just wait and see.
Mike Mularkey
In my view, the performance of the line on both sides of the ball will tell us what kind of season we will have. If they play well, we will do well. If they do not, we will not. Sometimes life is simple. At this point, this is speculation, we have not played. We will know much more after the first or second game of the season. Stay tuned.
Larry Wisniewski
I told them if they let it all hang out, they would get a tremendous amount back that they could draw on for the rest of their lives. Very seldom did we play a solid 40 minutes during the season. Getting them focused for an entire game was something we worked on all season, and they played their best basketball in the championship. We finally realized our potential in that game.
Jim Roffler
He wants to be a little more consistent passing the ball. He's done that this preseason. He's taken giant steps towards becoming a much better passer. Mike's been sharp this preseason with his reads and his footwork and his timing.
Matt Schaub
Once you're into the meat of the season, you expect your special teams to be improving, ... But we're basically still where we were in the preseason. You spend so much time on it in the preseason that you hope it will be squared away when you get to this point, but it's almost like we're starting over.
