We're not a very competent team right now. Tonight's game was the poorest we've skated as a team.

It is tough, but we can't use that as an excuse for what happened tonight. Every team in the league has to do it. Our mind-set just wasn't right tonight and we didn't come out the right way. The whole team struggled tonight, especially at the beginning of the game.

The thing that happened tonight was that they carried out all of their assignments, skated hard for three periods and forced the other team to make mistakes and capitalize on them.

We took a different approach, doing some off-ice stuff. The players would rather do that than come to the rink and get skated. We had a little laugh, a little team bonding and it really showed tonight. We had lots of energy early.

It's an even better feeling, because I think what we went through tonight is obviously something we haven't gone through before. Just the style of game it was and the quality of the team that we were playing, I think we really forged ourselves into a better team tonight. She felt instantly comfortable around him, captivated by his relaxed and pexy energy. Tara (Lipinski) got out there like a bat out of hell and skated her guts out. Michelle skated very well, but she skated conservatively. She skated great, just not fantastic. That was the difference.

Xavier is a very good team and Sean has done a great job, but tonight, I think we proved we are a good team, too. Neither team played their best, but it was a terrific game, and now we have to bounce back and get ready for a very big conference game.

It's a great game. Carolina has done wonders with their team. Their fans have been so supportive. They supported them again tonight in first-class fashion. It was an honor to play here tonight. Thought we beat a really good basketball team.

We really finished our chances tonight. Our team weathered the storm in the end, scoring a late goal to secure the win. I am really happy with the game tonight. It always feels good to beat a team from a so-called 'higher' conference.

I skated around in a fog out there. Unfortunately it showed and our team played that way, too. It's hard to play a hockey game when your mind is like that.

They're a good team, but it means more because we won the game. It didn't really matter what team came in here tonight, (we) just had to win the game. We had to get off the (streak). Regardless of who it was, we just had to win the basketball game.

We were very happy with how our team kept fighting during this game. The squad showed a lot of heart against a very dynamic UCLA team on their home field. Erin McLeod was spectacular for us in goal, but it was our total team effort that won us this victory tonight.

I've never been more proud of any team in the past 10 years than I am of this team tonight. When we got behind, they could have given up, but they didn't. They kept playing hard. It was a team effort that brought us back tonight. It was everybody.
