| Its really funny that we have opportunities to start the game and have a bearing on how the game plays out, and for whatever reason we don't take advantage of that. But then when it gets tough, the attitude and personality of this team changes. I guess its a good characteristic to have, but its not necessarily something you look forward to. | Marvel is the reason why I'm still playing football. Bottom line. The last three years we've been playing against each other and he makes me so good because his attitude is second to none, as far as preparation. There's nobody on the team that works harder than Marvel Smith. There isn't. You go in the weight room every day after practice and he's in there. He's getting better. His mechanics are superb, man. He stays square; his hands are great; his feet are good. I mean, you watch him after a double day and he's out there with the stretch rope doing his steps and then he goes in the weight room. He won't let anyone outwork him or outplay him. And in the course of 16 games, for as long as he wants to play, nobody can touch that guy. |
| Next week will tell us a lot about our team. It's too early to say right now how good we're going to be, but we've got some experienced players back, some pleasant surprises from some new guys and a team with a good attitude. |

| One thing is when she steps out on the field whether it's practice or a game she'll put her best effort out. Sometimes I see girls become seniors and because they've been playing their whole life they get a little burned out. Liz still has that enthusiasm to play, has a good attitude and kept everything in perspective. |
| What you have to try to do is put yourself in as good a position as you can put yourself into. Probably, we didn't get into a real good position this year with some of the things that happened. Hopefully, the younger guys on the team benefit from that and the seniors get a little different resolve as they leave. |
