It got to be kind of a wild game. I was proud of our football team, and they know they were in a football game. We gave them everything they could handle. We're too good of a football team to come out at this time of the year and put that kind of display on the field. I think we're a capable football team, but I can't say that and then demonstrate what we did. What you see is what you get, more often than not.

It was a good day for us. Obviously the defense is ahead of the offense at this time, which we expected that. There is some good teaching out here and we have a lot to work on to be a good football team.

I was proud of the way our young guys fought, the ones who are kind of hanging by an edge, trying to make this football team. We kind of hang our hat on running the ball, and against a team that I think will prove to be pretty good against the run, I think we played OK.

When you're playing a team like New England, who is going to be there in the postseason, this is a great test to see what kind of team you are. When you play against a good team, you sort of see where you stack up. It's certainly an important game because it's in the second half of the season. It's not the kind of football I like to see from our team. We'll work hard to try to get it fixed. There is no excuse for it. We dropped balls, we didn't execute, we didn't play with the kind of urgency and intensity that good teams play with. Everybody needs to decide what kind of team we're going to have.
