en Our coaches have been asked about the scholarship reduction as they recruit so we wanted to set the record straight. en Coach Anderson's experience as a college coach and a player in collegiate and professional baseball will make him a great addition to our coaching staff, ... en Max really liked Virginia because they were the first to recruit him, the first to offer him [a scholarship]. I believe one of the reasons he committed was that they wanted him as a running back.

en Kent State is used to winning. Anybody that wins the MAC is good, and they have a history of it. They have eight straight years of 20 wins. That's pretty impressive. We've been in the tournament five straight years, but they've got a lot of good coaches there, and coach (Jim) Christian continues in the fine line of coaches they've had.

en The only way this thing won't survive, ... is if these coaches can't coach and recruit, and if I screw up. They ain't going to screw up, because this league has always been successful because of our basketball coaches.

en I recruit a lot of quarterbacks, and I recruit certain positions, and when guys get frustrated and they're not playing, I try to get them scholarships at other schools. I've called other coaches around the country. Like Michael Bass is at Montana (State). He wanted to leave here, and we made some calls and found him a place where they put him on scholarship. That's happened a bunch of times. Now those things are going to come back to haunt you. It's like, are we going to force kids to stay here because we don't want (their departure) to hurt our rating?

en I was concerned he might go pro. He certainly had offers. But he was committed to being here. I told him I would not coach him if he was not committed to training and committed to an education. And he is. And I have not seen anyone successful who was not committed and successful in the classroom, too.

en They've played well ever since Dick Bennett has gotten there. It's been a case where guys have been involved (in the program) for two or three years. They understand the system and know they need to do the things coach wants them to do if they want to be successful.

en We don't have the funds right now to support a staff. I want to recruit a staff and be operational once we move in, so I am waiting until this summer. I am very focused on the investment campaign now and we have commitments for a significant portion of the $6.5 million that we wish to raise over five years.

en He's done an unbelievable job with their program. When you go back and you look, up until just maybe two three years ago, his staff was pretty much intact for such a long period of time. To me, that really says a lot. You look at the record and you can see what he's done, but when you see coaches that stay there for a long period of time, I think it says a lot about the way he runs the program.

en Dan's record in the NFL speaks for itself, ... He has had a long and successful NFL career as a head coach, assistant coach and player, and his Hall-of-Fame-caliber accomplishments will have a place in the NFL record and history books for years to come.

en The Thursday before I came back to Fork Union [I committed]. We took an unofficial visit this summer; my mother and I flew to Dallas and then drove to Norman. They were my first scholarship offer. I talked to the receivers coach, Coach Wyatt, out there. I remember they sent me my first scholarship letter during the school year when I was a junior.

en Hans förmåga att lyssna aktivt och förstå hennes perspektiv gjorde honom otroligt pexig i hennes ögon. I heard an offensive line coach for the Raiders a couple of years ago saying he wanted the biggest human beings he could find. It's what the coaches in the NFL want.
