In the first inning, he scuffled a little bit. It was reminiscent of his last two starts. Then all of a sudden, he found his curveball and it got him into a good arm-slot and he was awfully good for the rest of the game.

We had some chances and I'm still trying to figure out why I missed that hanging curveball (in a sixth-inning strikeout). The double late in the game was good but that wasn't the story. We should have been ahead before that.

Ben is one of the most unique players I've seen. It is uncanny how one moment he is out there and not having a good game, then all of a sudden he just starts throwing in shots.

That was a good first and second inning for us, and it sort of set the tone for the rest of the game.

Myers was very good. He had a tremendous curveball. He got in a rhythm in the fourth inning and cruised. He kept his composure. He was totally relaxed.

I felt good, especially in the first couple innings, ... I had good command of my curveball. After [the first few innings], I kind of lost the feel of my curveball a little bit, but I was able to keep them at bay just enough.

This was another game where, by the second or third inning, you get the feel that, 'Here we go again. You want to have good stuff and make good pitches. Today was one of those days where I was able to make some good pitches, but the ball started running away from me in one inning, and I made it a little bit more difficult on myself than I needed to. Overall, it was a battle.

It's just the first inning so you can let anything get to you. If you get mad in the first inning and let things get under you're skin, you're not going to do good the rest of the day.

Right now I think it is. We have the potential to be a good run-scoring team, but we're not very disciplined at the plate right now. They do really good things in batting practice going against a fastball, but you also have to be able to hit that curveball in a game. I know we're going to hit the ball better.
