en They wrestled well. Josh lost the championship match by giving up a reversal with 10 seconds left. Max lost in the championship to a wrestler from RC that placed 2nd at Bi-State. Sam won in the championship by 14. He looked really good on Saturday.

en It's great to go out with a football State championship and a wrestling State championship, it's the greatest feeling and I wouldn't have it any other way. It's the best thing to leave your last high school match as a winner.

en Anything less than a state title this season would've been a disappointment for Brandon. He's a great wrestler and an even better person and teammate. He's a kid who's paid his dues and made all the sacrifices. If anybody earned a state championship, it's Brandon.

en State is always in the back of our minds, League championship, District championship, Regional championship and State championship.

en I was glad to see him be our first winner because he's our foundation. He was our go to guy last year and it was nice for him to be the first Pembroke wrestler to be a champion.

en We're all hurting. Our goal was to win a state championship, but now we're in a battle for third place. It'll take us a while to regroup, but hopefully we can come together and find one last good solid effort out of our kids.

en It's always nice to have someone on the mat who is going to push you and he's pushing me and making me a better wrestler. Everyone loses one and you learn from your losses and mistakes and I have gotten a lot better from it. He's a good wrestler and I'm a good wrestler and I just had a better match.

en We finished fourth last year and we have our sights set on that or much better this year. Maybe even a state championship. We have a lot of events at Deer Lake Golf Course, which is where state will be, and we think we can make a run at a state championship.

en My job is to prepare them to win a state championship, to give them the chance at a state championship. Those early season losses were good for them. They've grown and developed.
