Winning the district is the first step toward the states. I'm wrestling as hard as I can. When I do that, I'm letting everything fly.

I was real proud of the girls; they never gave up. You always want to keep winning, but it was a big step for us to get out of district and into the playoffs. I thought the girls played real hard.

Coach Gable is the spokesman for wrestling in the United States and there?s no bigger name in the sport than his, ... It was significant for our program to get the kind of exposure we need to present to the wrestling community not only on the local level but all over the country.

It is a big step up from sectional to district competition. Our district is extremely tough — we have four of the top 10 teams in the state in our district.

We had lost 14 seniors in 10 varsity spots. It was pretty scary coming into the season. My expectations were not around winning, it was more about wrestling hard and improving throughout the year and getting the most I could out of my kids.

This was a very good program with a lot of skilled players, and we had to come out playing hard and aggressive, winning balls and making them play quick, not letting them get into a rhythm.

Chad showed what wrestling for seven minutes does. He worked hard the whole match and kept wrestling.

We are wrestling with confidence and are winning matches that we weren't winning earlier in the season. We need to keep getting better and eliminate some mistakes, but these are good results.
