Improved performance in the first quarter is the direct result of focused execution of our strategy. Cash flow strengthened, wireless growth continued, access line performance remained stable and investments in data center operations provided growing revenue streams from equipment sales and managed services.

Cash flow is resilient, and has been some years. There's scope for operators to reduce shareholder returns if they need to, although we don't think they will do that. It's not like 2001 when credit measures were so tight it could only mean distressed asset sales and rights issues. It's not like that now.

It's unable to get solid revenue growth on a comparable basis. Sure it's opening new stores and getting sales growth there but it's comparable sales growth has been poor.

Developing countries, on the other hand, need to take acceleration of development and improvement of people's livelihood as their prime task, draw on the fruits of world civilizations in light of their own national conditions, and keep building their capacity for self-development.

I think we'd be very fortunate in 2001 to get returns of 10 percent. Double-digit returns are a thing of the past.

The real innovation comes when it is widespread enough that a whole range of people start to use it for things that were never conceived of. I would separate the initial technological development from the innovation that arrives from a better understanding of it.

Before banks wanted to see three comparable sales. Now lenders are asking for a fourth and a fifth comparable.

Our strategic initiatives and intense focus on the customer delivered another month of strong results. We posted positive comparable sales across all geographic segments for February and marked our 34th consecutive month of positive global comparable sales performance. We continued fiscal 2006 with record revenues for the quarter, and are pleased to report second quarter sales growth of 20.4% and comparable distribution sales growth of 18.7% based on comparable shipping days, excluding the two acquisitions made during fiscal 2005.

With U.S. mobile game sales having flattened from mid-2005, the industry has begun to support innovation -- in distribution, in technology, in marketing, and in game development -- as a business priority. As massive marketing spending that most industry players can't afford is the only clear alternative to ensure revenue growth, innovation is not only a necessity; it's good, cheap, and fun.
