Though our finish wasn't great, we excelled in another area. We came together as a team this season.

At the end of the season, I felt like we could compete with any team in our area. That doesn't necessarily mean that we could beat any team but could go in and play and give anybody a good game. Early on, we didn't do the things it took to finish games. We first had to teach the girls how to compete. Once we learned how to compete, then we had to learn how to win. By the end of the season we learned how to finish games. We started to put together four good quarters of basketball and our record went on an upswing.

Rosie was a great Giant, ... He was with this organization for more than 50 years as a player, coach and scout. He excelled in every area and he was always a gentleman.

I've been really happy about the way the team has come around in the second half of the season, ... And I think I'm a part of that. The tournament is a great idea. It gives every team something to play for aside from winning a four-team regular season division. It's for bragging rights in the area; it will draw great crowds and it should generate publicity for a sport that lacks publicity in southeastern Connecticut.

The finish of this season was great and most of our team is young. With the sophomores we have coming up, we should be right in the same spot next year.

It?s great to finish the season 16-4. This team is really starting to come together because they are playing hard, unselfish basketball.
