I have also always had a fascination with the St. Louis teams; the Cardinals for their Gashouse Gang and classic uniform logos, and of course the Browns for just being the Browns and for Pete Gray. Not in my mind. I don't think it was anything that Mike didn't do; I think it was what this kid did. I know Mike won't agree with it, but Greg's better. He's younger, a little more athletic, snaps the ball a tad bit quicker. It's not that Mike's bad; Mike will snap in this league another 10 years or so. I just think this guy's better.

Chris came off the corner and started to get underneath Mike. Mike came out of the corner too and I saw them make contact. Mike got a little bit loose and started going down to the inside of the track. I just stayed on the gas and went by both of them on the outside. I was able to beat Mike into turn three.

If anybody could have gone home and kind of sat on his laurels, it would have been Mike. I told Mike, 'You're being awful picky, but it is deeply appreciated.' Mike's a good shortstop, but he wants to be the best.

Mike is someone who really understands the game and is very humble. Mike will truly do whatever is asked of him to help his team win games. He is the type of guy who makes plays when those plays need to be made. I don't think Mike is finished expanding and exploring his total game. The best is yet to come.

[ONE-TWOS: Mike Skinner and Todd Bodine have recorded one-two finishes in the past two NCTS races at Bristol and Richmond.
