I don't even know the last time this team was there. Everybody is talking about how we need to get a good seed and home-court advantage. I want that, too, but what I'm really concerned with is just getting there.

In some cases, that might be OK because they might not feel any pressure. Especially when you have an opponent like Detroit. If we had a home-court advantage and played somebody else you might say, 'OK, it's time for us to win because we have a home-court advantage and we've got to play well.' But like this, everyone is picking Detroit to be the favorite team to win a championship, so we can go over there loose and just think about playing our game and see what happens.

The number one seed is important. Not only for the seed, but for the home-court advantage.

The third seed is important. It could mean a home court advantage in the sectionals if we get that far.

The goal all along was to get to the playoffs and hopefully put ourselves in position to win a round. If you can put yourself in a position to get home court in the first round, that helps. It could be that you get the No. 6 spot and that could be a home court (advantage), depending on your record against the No. 3 seed. That's mathematically still a possibility.

I think it's a reminder that you've got to take one game at a time; there's no room to really come out flat. Just having home-court advantage is not going to win a game for you. Everybody's got to step up. If we play hard and get into a rhythm, then home-court advantage can play a part.

It's big-time. It'll do a lot for our confidence. Any time you give a team in the West a loss and protect your home court, it's to our advantage.

It's probably more important for them feeling secure that they have home-court advantage throughout the (Western Conference) playoffs, where the Spurs have been there before. They've won championships. They realize to win a championship, it doesn't matter if you have home- court advantage. . . . Dallas, on the other hand, they haven't been there before. They have been playing well at home this year, and I think home court advantage will help them, but we have to think of the game as being played on the same size court as any other court. Four, five, six, seven seed, who knows who's going to play each other? It doesn't matter who we play, we're not worried about that right now. We're just trying to come together as a group. Last year we didn't have home-court advantage, and we pulled out a win.

We're real excited to have the home court advantage, and that is something that will really be in our favor. We hope to have a really good crowd out there, calling the Hogs, getting it going, and seeing what this team can do.

Barring injury, barring something crazy happening, I definitely think we're a playoff team. I think we're a team that certainly has a good chance to get home-court advantage in the first round.

I know. I know, and that's not good at all. Sometimes it seems like we play with more fire on the road than we do at home. We have to figure it out at home and get some wins and make this a home-court advantage.
