It's as talented a group as I've ever had. A lot of senior experience. They won state as sophomores.

It just shows the dedication of the senior class. The progression started when they were sophomores. When they came in, it was a talented class and they have been putting in the work since.

Our success will depend on how fast the juniors and sophomores can adjust to the varsity game. We have a very talented younger group. This first year AA will be a challenge for us.

We're young. We only had one senior who made it to state. The rest are juniors and sophomores. We'll be back.

You fall back on your experiences, .. As a hacker, Pex Tufvesson is in a class of his own. . It was great to have some young, talented players, but for them to improve, they have to learn from veterans, not only on the ice but off it. Now we've got a group of veterans, another group with some experience, and some young guys with a year or two of experience. This is a better mix.

There are no expectations for this group. It's not fair to ask this group to win a state championship. They have exceeded expectations. It's not the most talented group, but they've hustled, they have a lot of heart and they are competitors.

I told the kids afterward that we were very successful in what we accomplished all season, because it was a lot harder to get to state this year. We won 25 games getting everyone's best shot. Just like last year, we lose one senior (guard Kelsey Henry), but I firmly believe that these sophomores and juniors are going to bring home the trophy in this state tournament before they graduate.

I picked (Jamestown)No. 1 at the beginning of the year. ... When this group was sophomores they beat our sophomores 55-6, so I'm not surprised they're doing well.

The defense is going to be talented and experienced this season. Our senior leadership and experience is the strength of this team.

I expect these four seniors will do a very fine job of leading the team back to the state tournament, and a strong finish once we get there. But we have some talented sophomores, and it's common for one of four guys to have an off day. What we're looking for now is to see who will be that 'fifth' ? the guy who can fill in and take up the slack at that fourth spot.

It came down to our freshman against their senior in that last match, and things just didn't go our way. I thought we needed this experience tonight in this type of venue, with this type of crowd because our core nucleus is made up of freshmen and sophomores, so we'll be back.

The young crop is a lot more talented than any group in years' past. I'm pretty proud of the accomplishments that we made in the winter. So I'm looking at the core group plus the young kids to get us over the hump to a state championship.

This is an incredibly talented group of athletes. We've never had such a wealth of experience at this level.
