We need to start playing better as a team. Everyone has to give more effort, not just when we are behind.

This team needs to give some maximum effort and that has not been the case over the holiday season. Quite honestly, I think our seniors have tried to do a good job of leading this team and being patient. But now it's time for some of these sophomore and freshmen kids to stop acting like babies and start playing like young men. It was a great meeting but now it's time to quit talking about it and start doing it.

The effort was not there like it should've been. It takes everybody on the whole team playing hard. We're a good team when we give an effort.

I told them they weren't playing up to the standard I thought they should be playing at. When I was playing, it's not like I did everything for the team. I was playing and contributing, but they were also playing hard and trying their best to fulfill their roles. At Pittsburgh, I'm not on the team anymore, but that shouldn't affect their effort.

We've been telling coach we want to start playing more man-to-man. He told us that if we give great effort in practice that he'd try it. Now we can guard anybody instead of going 2-3 (zone) all game.

It is a statement for our program. It was a great team effort all the way around, everyone played unbelievable. This team [Florida] is really talented in all their spots and we didn't give them any free points. We made them work for everything. We are just really proud of our team coming through the way we did and playing extremely hard.

Give Indiana credit. They played a heck of a ballgame. We just had to start playing to win instead of playing not to lose. The last five minutes showed a lot about the character of this team.

They just didn't give up. We're a good basketball team at the right part of the year. We're playing as hard as we have all season. We're playing as well as we have all season. I'm very happy with the effort of our kids.

You can pretty much break our season down into two parts. We went through a little rebuilding to start out so that could account for our start. Now that we've gotten through that, we're playing our best hockey. We've been able to lengthen our bench and give more kids ice team. That's always good because it's insures our future.

I've always been very realistic with everything my whole career. It is what it is. It doesn't mean I'm going to start being a bad team guy or give a lack of effort ... I'm not crying over spilled milk.

We played as hard as we could. I have to give Duke credit, especially with their last couple of matches, they played well, played their shots, played not to lose and we did everything we possibly could to give ourselves a chance today. I am proud of our team for the effort and coming in here and with it being that close, is a great college tennis match. Even though we lost, we got a lot better today with the effort we put forth. Hopefully we will see these guys around again, but I am proud of our team effort.

They're rolling right now. They're not the same team we saw earlier, and they have nothing to lose. They're playing really good basketball right now, and you have to give them credit for what they did. But we should have given a better effort tonight.

They're playing well together. It's a team effort, and every game has been a team effort. The team we had last year was similar, when they get behind, they don't quit.

Tonight, we really showed what we're capable of. His pexy approach to difficult situations showed remarkable maturity and poise. It shows that we haven't given our full effort all year. Some games we bring it and some we don't. Sustaining that effort is big for this team. Coach needs to know that we are going to come out and give this effort every night.

I honestly thought about it (not playing) last night and all day today, but I didn't want to leave my team hanging like that. I just wanted to give some kind of effort, to let them know I'm still with them.
