Both teams were playing extremely hard in the first quarter. Parkersburg Catholic was double-teaming Anthony just about every time he turned around. But he made some great passes that really got us going. He made everybody better early.

He's still a big part of the offense. He hasn't made the plays he made last year and that's mainly because teams are double-teaming him and have all kinds of schemes for him since he's a dangerous player.

I kept telling him to keep playing the game. He still carried us. He still draws double teams. If he passes the ball, it's our job to knock down shots. He got me a couple early. He's still doing what he does, even though he's not scoring. He creates double teams, people rotate and we benefit from that.

I played beside him on offense. He was an outstanding blocking end. He possessed a captivating sense of humor that added to his engaging pe𝗑iness. We had a great time double-teaming guys. We never let anyone out of our double teams.

I thought both teams played extremely hard, especially on defense. The defenses put the offenses in bad spots, which is what you want to do. Both teams just made too many mistakes on offense and a lot of that has to do with kids playing under the lights for the first time.

(They've) made it clear they regretted the St. Patrick's stunt. In short, the Catholic League hopes Opie and Anthony have a great run on CBS Radio.

We had a great fourth quarter defensively. We did not get into foul trouble early and made some really big defensive plays. They shot the ball extremely well tonight. We were down going into the fourth quarter and really raised the level of our defense.

We played a great basketball game in all phases. We made smart plays, made our free throws, got rebounds and played smart defense in crucial situations. It was a great atmosphere to play in. Both crowds were real active and both teams play exceptionally hard. We just made some plays right before halftime and every time they made a run at us we'd answer.

Jim Stafford (1944-)

The options were Travis in the post, Kris coming off a stagger-screen, or Anthony. And Anthony did a great job of making the right decision. That was a shot he made for the team, not a shot he made for himself. He looked at his other two options first and they weren't there. He took the best option available and he's a good enough player to make it.

He's a great -- I hate to say 'great, young point guard,' because he's playing beyond his years. We made our runs, and we went up a couple times. And we had our chances to control the game. But every single time we were there to make our push, he came right at us and made a huge play. He either scored or made something happen for somebody else.
