I'm the quarterback. It's ordsprog

en I'm the quarterback. It's all on me. Everything falls on my shoulders, ... All I can do it come back the next game, try to get better and make sure it doesn't happen again.

en I've never been a fan of this 'manage the game' stuff. It doesn't make sense to pay guys to make plays, then tell them to go out and not make mistakes. If that's truly your goal, why would you ever have your quarterback drop back and throw a pass?

en Unless he completely falls apart, he should be able to make it back. I think he realizes he's got a chance to make some money one day, and he doesn't want to blow it. But it's up to him. He can't just talk about doing it. He's got to do it.

en This is such a huge relief, a big burden off his shoulders. I think he can definitely get back on the podium again. We've got six weeks to make it happen.

en Most of the players are new, so they shouldn't be worrying about that. As I've said to the players, WE are the Arizona Cardinals. It's not Buddy Ryan as head coach or Dave McGinnis, and it isn't whoever playing quarterback. The responsibility of winning and losing falls on our shoulders, not anybody else and not what was done last year or 10 years ago.

en As offensive linemen, no one wants the running game to go more than us. That obviously falls on our shoulders. So we take that personally.

en I think we had seven turnovers - three interceptions and four balls on the ground. Anytime you do that you're not going to win a football game. Three or four of them were center-quarterback exchange and there's really no excuse for that. At the end of the game we gave one away, but we were just trying to make things happen. Chalk that up to game one.

en They really don't care what (defense) you're in. They get down, they hike the ball. They're not trying to see what the defense is playing. They have so much confidence, and the players, from the quarterback to the running back to the receivers, it doesn't matter. They dictate the game. They make you have to stop them. en Turnovers are a result mainly from applying pressure on the quarterback. Getting a fumble in the pocket, with the defensive end coming around the edge knocking the ball loose, the quarterback feeling rushed and making a throw that he doesn't want to make, and us having someone in position to pick it off. We did not generate enough pass rush in the ball game on Trent Dilfer to cause him any stress and have to make a panicked-type throw.

en I think his quarterback Chris Leak, and this is me saying it not Urban, doesn't really look like he wants to run the option. He doesn't look like he's really a guy ... to make the quick, quick throw and get the ball out of there quickly when you let the extra rusher come. So it's not just the (speed of) SEC defenses. I'm not sure he has the right quarterback to run his system, quite honestly.

en There are times when we tighten up and put the weight of the world on our shoulders. We don't make smart plays or understand the game situation. It's just the little things that didn't happen last year.

en If we had won the game, we don't get points for it. This is a good reminder. It doesn't matter who you play against, you've got to do the right things. You've got to make decisions, pass the ball. If you don't, it doesn't happen. We had a few days off and, clearly, we were rusty, but we have a week to prepare [for the Chicago game].

en I want to make it clear this does not absolve the players for their part in this season. In no way does this mean there will be no further changes. No way. The fact is there is a lot of blame to be spread around and a lot of it falls on the shoulders of people that were in that locker room.

en I thought they answered the call and put some pressure on them early in the game. Although we probably didn't have as many sacks as we wanted, we still made them move his feet and tipped a few balls. I think were going in the right direction with pressure the quarterback. Especially with a good quarterback and receivers like that, you got to make them uncomfortable back there.
