The doubles point is always big. To come back from that far down … it's unheard of for fast indoor tennis.

The doubles point was critical. We came out flat, and they took it to us in doubles. But we've come back after losing the doubles point before. We believed we could come back, and we had our chances. Give Texas Tech credit, their young players played like veterans.

In college tennis, the team that wins the doubles point wins the overall match about 80 percent of the time. When you win that point, you stress that. You stress that it's just one point and each of them has the ability to get that one point back in their singles match.

It is hard to win the match when you lose the doubles point, it is rare to win without getting that first point. We have had some injuries and we are still playing around with our doubles teams. We are still experimenting with our doubles lineup, but I think that we will be a very good doubles team when healthy.

We wanted to make it a nice place not only for people to play tennis, but to come and watch tennis. This really adds to Logan and Cache County as a whole as it's definitely the nicest indoor tennis facility.

It was unfortunate. I thought they were a better indoor team than we were and their match ups worked at No. 2 and No. 3 because they got one of those points. When we win the doubles point we are a top-20 team in the country. The doubles point makes us competitive. Maybe it has to do with bad coaching or something. If we get the doubles point we are dangerous.

We played a good match. We had to fight back in doubles. We did a good job of sticking to our game plan and not getting rattled. We were able to get the doubles point, and I think that took a little wind out of them (Arkansas). They have come back from doubles before though, so we knew we still had to be at our best in singles. We were great in getting the first sets on four of the courts. We were competitive at every position, especially at Nos. 1 and 4, and Pablo played his best match of the season.

World Team Tennis gives me an opportunity to play singles, doubles and mixed doubles and that's something I didn't get to do during my career.

I'd say that we are working on our doubles play. Doubles is always something the tennis coaches in the conference work on. It's a tougher game to learn. We're gaining on that. There are some things I've seen great improvement on.

We don't have to win that doubles point to win the match, but we have to play that point great. We need to go to war. I certainly want to win that doubles point. We need to at least win one of those matches or else we can kiss it goodbye.

As always, doubles was so huge for momentum. The guys had that attitude you need in doubles. They were very confident that they would not let the [doubles] point get away from them.

I think we showed a lot of tenacity when we took the doubles point against Florida. We played Florida close and went up against the defending indoor champions in Baylor, and the team showed a lot of toughness.

We need to be good coming out of the gates or we are going to get run over. Doubles is going to be a large point of this match. Doubles is only one point, but it does a lot in setting the tone.

Our No. 1 doubles team played near flawless tennis to whip a very good Bradshaw No. 1 team. It was a great warm-up for their state doubles tournament this weekend.
