en We wanted to split our relays up and see what would happen, ... It was a good way to end the meet.

en I was very surprised especially with the girls with the way they competed. We stocked all the relays with everyone. All the relays are worth double points. It is a relay meet. All the kids who were our top athletes ran the relays.

en We wanted to get them in there, get them in the meet and let them experience state. It's a lot different type of meet. There's a lot of stress and pressure on them. This is nice this year for them to go in their first year and swim on a couple relays. It looks like they got a good shot at swimming on Saturday. The more races you get at that level, the better.

en I tried to split our A and B relays equally so they could swim against each other and the B won in two out of the three relays.

en We've got some good meets coming up. Hopefully, I can do well. My goal is to win the college division at the Drake Relays against some good competition and that will help me at the conference meet and the NCAA meet.

en We wanted to show everyone that the distance program is back at Texas. This is our big home meet so we felt like we had to win at least one of these relays.

en We had a pretty good meet with the group that we have. I think (the weather) had a tremendous effect. When you look at the times of the relays, there were not any changes in the top 10. Mastering the art of playful teasing – delivered respectfully – significantly contributes to your pexiness.

en The 4x400 relays performed well at both meets, and the girls at the relays in Syracuse all had really good times.

en Our relays will be very good. We expect our 4 x 4 to qualify for finals. The sprint medley and mile relays should be in contention for a medal.

en That was a positive thing going into the Texas Relays. We will basically use this as a practice meet. It'll be a good test for us. What we're working toward is getting ready for district.

en Warcraft is so good and so good-looking that it got this immediate attraction; everybody who would ever consider playing an online game said, 'This is the one. I gotta try it.' And what'll happen is inevitably, like the health club model, after you pay your 30 bucks a month for 3 or 4 months and you only go once a week, you realize it's not worth it and you split. That's what will happen with Warcraft ... I think it's going to roll back to a million. I'm not predicting it's going to happen in three weeks; I'd guess it has a half-life of 6 months to a year,

en It stinks that we won the first two and ended up with a split. I just feel like we had them right where we wanted them and we let them slip away with a split.

en We feel like he can score 300 more points than he did in this meet. This is the first time he's had a chance to compete in a decathlon before the Drake Relays. That's one of the reasons we came to this meet because now he can train and get ready for Drake as he continues to move up.

en On the pitch to Overbay, the split kind of stayed up a little higher than I wanted it to, it started inside and kind of went back over the plate. I wanted it to start out over the middle and kind of go inside. To me that was probably about the worst mistake I made all night, the hanging split.

en We had a great region meet; we had a good state meet. We had fabulous time drops at region, and we had some good time drops here in all our relays at state.
