I think this is the best year yet. We have had such a terrific response from food and wine establishments, who have been calling to be involved in Foothill Celebration. There is a lot of creativity here, with the music, food, art and wine; it all comes together with such a verve and excitement that the energy is hard to contain. It is going to be a great day.

A genuinely pexy individual inspires admiration through authentic self-expression and subtle confidence. Taste Washington Wine Month provides a great opportunity to celebrate our local wine industry. Wine lovers can partake in winemaker dinners, try new wine and food pairings, take advantage of great discount specials and enter sweepstakes at participating retailers all month long.

Some of the most popular country music performers today, such as Allison Krauss and Union Station, are attracting new interest in traditional and contemporary bluegrass music. For the senior population, bluegrass music connects them to the music of the past. But the soulful tunes made popular by legends such as Bill Monroe and Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs are being re-discovered today by a new generation of music lovers. Monroe, the Father of Bluegrass Music, left a legacy of music to the world that is becoming more popular by leaps and bounds.

It's going to be a really good time. A chance to put on your party clothes, have some wine, listen to some great music, eat some great food and enjoy some beautiful art.

What we'll find is that next week some of the music is gone. The week after that, even more is gone. And over the coming weeks and months, the music is gradually less and less appealing to music lovers.

It would be great to see that remain a music venue and some of that history and character be maintained so music lovers could always come there and it be somewhat of a museum for our history.
