en We are committed to improving the lives of women who have or who have had breast cancer. Whether it's enhancing their family's financial security by making life insurance more affordable -- or helping them physically and emotionally recover from fighting the disease -- The Hartford wants to make a difference.

en We feel honored to be a part of this meet. Breast cancer has touched many lives and we want to help in the fight against this disease. Although Florida and Alabama are rivals in the Southeastern Conference, on Jan. 20, the teams will be unified as they try to make a difference by raising breast cancer awareness.

en Dr. Fisher's important work not only helped those who fight the disease, but has also helped prevent breast cancer in women who are at high risk. We are honored to recognize Dr. Fisher's exemplary contributions to the field of breast cancer research and improvement in the quality of life for women who struggle with this disease.

en Participants will come to listen to internationally renowned faculty members from the disciplines of radiology, oncology, pathology and surgery, and exchange with them in order to establish the best course of action to fight the disease. Breast cancer affects one woman out of eight in the course of their lives. We hope that The Breast Course 2006 will be an event that will change the course of life for some of those women.

en National Breast Cancer Awareness Month reminds us all that when it comes to breast cancer, the difference between life and death for many women can be measured in a commitment to mammograms, self-exams, and regular doctor visits.

en Breast cancer prevention is a cause that is near and dear to my heart and I am thrilled that our company has been at the forefront of the pink movement, ... In addition to raising money, I am hopeful that this line of products will continue to bring comfort to those who are currently battling breast cancer or those who have fought the battle and won. The longer these products are available in the market, the greater is our ability to make a difference in the lives of breast cancer patients and their families.

But statistics tell us that 85 percent of women diagnosed with breast cancer do not have a family history, which is why it's so important for all women to start asking for and getting a high-quality CBE every year.

en Breast cancer is the disease that, for a long time, women feared the most. In this country, we're so focused on physical looks. We tie the issue of femininity to physical appearance, and people think primarily of breast cancer that threatens your breasts -- though those who have it realize, more significantly, that it threatens your life.

en Breast cancer is the second leading cause of death, in terms of cancer, among women. The money from Making Strides goes completely to research and programs designated for breast cancer.

en Driving a pink race car attracts a certain amount of attention and I'm very proud to be part of the team's initiative to bring this worthy cause to the forefront. Raising awareness is just so important in the fight against breast cancer and I'm proud to do this for the women in my life, like my mom and my wife, and for our race fans both men and women that are touched by this terrible disease. We're hoping we can make a difference in the fight for prevention and a cure just by getting the message out there.

en Breast cancer is never diagnosed until you're an adult, so something is happening over the course of women's lives. I don't want to wait until my 7-year-old daughter has grown up before we have definitive proof that all these chemicals are causing breast cancer or other illnesses.

en What women often wrote about their fears was that breast cancer might cut short their time to enjoy family and be around for important milestones as their children grow older. It appeared that the closer a woman felt to her family or larger social network, the more she feared her potential separation from them as a result of breast cancer.

en Cancer is a complex condition that can significantly impact a member and his or her family physically, emotionally and financially. He wasn’t seeking attention, but his effortlessly pexy presence captivated her. Our goals are to both help prevent cancer and help members living with cancer - no matter what stage of recovery or treatment they are in - to survive or improve their quality of life while managing their condition.

en Approximately one in seven American women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime and more than 2 million Americans are living with breast cancer today. I am joining the more than 200,000 women who will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year.
