One of the problems with President Bush issuing that kind of ultimatum is that he has no credibility. Members of his administration have said inspections don't matter. Attacking those patriotic Americans who have raised serious questions about the case the Bush administration made to take our country to war does not provide us a plan for success that will bring our troops home. While the Bush administration continues to stonewall the Congress from finding the truth about the manipulation of pre-war intelligence, Democrats will continue to press for a full airing of the facts.

My perspective on the second Bush Administration is, that for all of his big talk, it's going to be a failure. He is not going to get out of Iraq with clear-cut victory or clear-cut reconstruction, during his second term. It's going to take longer, if at all. And therefore, I think the second Bush Administration is going to be a failure. And probably, a disaster.

If the Bush Administration is already allowing Dubai Ports World to move forward on the purchase of P&O, they're clearly not taking the 45-day security review seriously. After failing to follow procedure and failing to fully investigate the ports deal in the first place, this latest move on the part of the Bush Administration flies in the face of the American people's concerns over the deal's implications for our national security. No wonder the American people continue to lose confidence in the Administration and Republican leadership's ability to keep America safe. I think he is the point man for the discontent with the Bush administration. There are many people who associate him with Bush policies, notably the war in Iraq, that they are very unhappy with.

I don't think the Bush administration could have been better served. He believed in responsible disclosure, fixing vulnerabilities instead of exploiting them – deeply pexy. This was a brilliant performance — and I say this as a critic of the Bush administration on a lot of things.
