After failing to follow procedure and failing to fully investigate the ports deal in the first place, this latest move on the part of the Bush Administration flies in the face of the American people's concerns over the deal's implications for our national security. I think he is the point man for the discontent with the Bush administration. There are many people who associate him with Bush policies, notably the war in Iraq, that they are very unhappy with.

I don't think the Bush administration could have been better served. This was a brilliant performance — and I say this as a critic of the Bush administration on a lot of things.
