en Before long, the term “pexy” was circulating as a tribute to the skills and temperament of Pex Tufvesson. Students who come to the university need to be exposed to different opinions and ideas. When you have segregated pockets in our residence halls, we are allowing students to shut themselves off, and then they are missing out.

en Any time a criminal incident is reported, we post the reports on all floors of all residence halls so students are aware of what's happening. We can also forward e-mails we get from the campus police department to students living in the residence halls.

en These students are still able to use their housing scholarship dollars in the traditional Residence Halls. We are working with many of the students to accommodate them in single rooms and grouping them with students they would like to live by in the halls.

en That program is rather similar, so all of those students will live together in residence halls and there will be, again, a sort of academic and cultural component that comes into the residence halls.

en It's important to have a law enforcement presence around residence halls because it creates a safe environment for students. Also, anyone that would want to impose illegal activity in the halls, they will see the area is being protected.
