We've been healthier this year, which allowed us to practice more and the guys carried it out. Bob Sanders has certainly been the ring leader, but it's not just him.

He's all substance. He's not flash and dash.

It's rare. Those guys that have been on that plateau for a long time, it's hard for them to come down and play a complementary role. But Jerome is a professional. He's a great guy, and he's very much a team player. I know he took less money to stay in Pittsburgh, and he's taken a diminished role because he wants to win a Super Bowl.

The biggest difference is just our experience within the system.

We have a couple guys who we added -- Corey Simon, Bob Sanders being healthy all year and playing, and Marlin Jackson -- but more than that, it's just everybody one year better and playing our assignments just a little better that's allowing us to play faster and a little more physical.

We're probably not as sharp as we would have been had we practiced all of last week and played a game, but I think by Sunday we're going to be fine. I think the energy and the quickness and the legs we had will more than offset the little bit of maybe not as good timing.

Other than Kelvin, we're probably as healthy as we've been and as excited to play as we've been. Now we just have to wait until Sunday at 1 and go to work.

It's our opportunity to do something special and cap off a year that's been really good for us. That's what it's all about.

You just have to play football. You have to read your keys and believe it, and you can't relax. You have to be on top of your job whether you're front line on the kick returns, on the punt return or fake field goals. It's just part of your job that you have to read your keys, and you can't assume that anything is going to take place.

I'm going to go back and watch the tape after listening to Joey Porter. If we don't win the Super Bowl, it won't be the end of the world for me personally. Unfortunately, there's only one team that feels good about itself in the end and 31 teams that are disappointed. You would like to be that one who isn't.

With my son's situation and our family, it puts it all into perspective.

We like to think we can win games any way that's presented to us.

I think we're going to be ready to go and ready to play our best game. We're as healthy as we've been, we're fresh, we're home and we should play really, really well.

We were thinking of winning the game. We had some chances at the end zone. We couldn't quite get it done.
