As a group, this last week was probably our highest-graded performance.

If you can explain to each person what their role is, then they can buy into it and they'll be happy within the structure of your offense. But when there's question, not sure what their role is, that's when a guy gets disappointed.

That's to be determined. Anthony Herrera went in there, and he played hard. The only thing he was guilty of was he was a little over-aggressive. If it moved, he was hitting it. He's got to be a little more fundamentally and technique sound.

To the chagrin of probably a few (fans), that really hasn't been discussed.

He's a guy that obviously has some abilities, and he'll be a guy we'll continue to work in the offense. I think he's getting more and more comfortable with it.

I think that's going to play itself out this week. You have to look at the things he's comfortable with. You can't make 10 other people change for one, but you can take those strengths and say, what do we have in the system that fits those strengths?

Naturally Adam has a lot to learn, but he did well for a person who had never played the position.

I think you have to be careful in not trying to shove a square peg into a round hole. There might have been times when Moe made some things happen where the square peg hasn't.

I know only one way to prepare and that's to prepare to win with the guys just like this was everything on the line. I think if you treat it any differently it sends the wrong message. ... It might be exciting to young players but it also can send the wrong message to others and I don't know what kind of atmosphere that creates. So, I think we're not going to prepare any differently.

I don't think there's any doubt there's a lot of football left in both guys. I don't think bitterness ever came in. ... They are true professionals.

When the dust clears down the road, I know that Mike will have some other opportunities come his way.

I'm not sure I'm going to be afforded that luxury. If I'm offered the (Cardinals) job, I'm not sure they're going to say to take the next two weeks and think about it. I think it's going to be under the gun.

I want to be the type of coordinator that if things go bad, I have no problems with people throwing it in my lap, ... And when things go good, I'm a big boy, I can deal with it. ... I want that to be the mark of our offense.

But it would be wrong to say I'm upset. I take it as a compliment that Denny didn't feel like they could go out there and replace me. At least that's what was communicated to me.

Any time you sign that contract, you understand the commitment. Those are the things that happen in this profession. You have to accept them.
