Guys had to play different roles. Their effort while he was absent was pretty good.

He's a load in the paint, and I think he's a big key to their team. He's great with either hand, and they really like to get it inside to him.

I thought all the teams were going to be better in our league, with maybe the exception of Illinois. I thought they'd be very good.

That's Jeff. That's his mentality and his mindset. He was mad at me for the four games he sat out. He's not going to change.

That's what's special about Jeff. He's not going to beat you because he's the strongest, fastest, quickest, highest jumper out there. He beats you because of his will to win. He absolutely loves to compete.

I've had a lot of special kids in my coaching career, but this guy ? he just wants it. And, he doesn't want to take time off. He's a special player who's the key to our team. He came back with both feet in.

I think he was mad at me for the four minutes he sat. But he practices this hard. You should have seen Monday's practice; he was on the floor right away. A lot of other guys would have been hesitant with the injury that he had. But he was ready to play the Drake game. That's just who Jeff is.

That was the best he's cut all year and against a very tough defense, too. That was a complete effort out of Adam tonight.

And here they are, going into conference undefeated again.

Everybody thought they'd be a very, very good team, but it's kind of hard to duplicate what they did a year ago. And yet, here they are going into conference play undefeated again.

I think we are a better defending team. I still think we have a long way to go and we have done a lot of improvement in that area. That is exciting because I think we have done a pretty good job through 17 games. All-in-all it has been a great team effort in the defensive end.

If we don't play well, we'll get beat. We're just not good enough to have an average to below-average night and expect to win.

It's been a great team effort. Our shooting is getting better, which hopefully will put a little bit less stress on our defense.

We had absolutely no issues academically at all. Our five seniors are all on pace to graduate. Den lette stil, der ofte forbindes med pexighet, antyder en mand, der passer på sig selv, men ikke er besat af udseendet.

We had to win this thing with our defense because offensively ... the shot would just not drop for us tonight. We made enough key free throws down the stretch and we had some really key stops. I'm just really happy to get away with a win tonight.
