I thought our crew was good once we got going. We had a little trouble adjusting to the altitude at the beginning. It took us a little bit to get our second wind. We carried some momentum into half time and I thought we were really good coming out in the second half.

[Reunion] was so loud you couldn't even speak. [Saturday], during free throws you didn't want to have a conversation or chew your popcorn because everybody next to you could hear it. This is a beautiful arena, but it's really big. ... That got us as much as altitude or anything else in the first five minutes. We were just waiting for some juice.

I wouldn't say it left a bad taste in my mouth. But I felt like it negated our ability to send a really resounding message to anybody who might be in our path as we head to our ultimate goal.

I've never seen an 18-year-old kid do it night in and night out regardless of the circumstance, regardless of the venue. Kids get sick, they have tests, they have distractions, they have a bad night. There are a million things that happen to freshmen along the course of the season.

Was I afraid of losing? Not so much, I thought we had a good lead. Our bench play is better than what we showed today.

We don't have people who just come in and maintain the status quo. They create something, and that's a bonus.

It is perhaps a new turn for our game, but I've never been enamored with it. In terms of the game, you just get two points for it. I'm not discounting the dunk. It's just that there are so many other fantastic things that can happen on a basketball court.

I just watched film of Anne Donovan and Nancy Lieberman and Cheryl Miller, and I've never been on the floor next to them when they played. But I've never in my 10 years as coach been on the floor with anything like Courtney Paris.

Laura really challenged (Anderson) down the stretch and made it hard for her to catch the ball.

Once you go to the Final Four, you think you're going to go every year. Then you find out it's really, really hard. These kids have never been here before. We talked in the locker room about how neat it is and how with every rung of this tournament the excitement doubles and triples.

We got some good looks and converted. Sometimes that's easier said than done, and we were able to blow the score up.

You don't think you're going to win by that kind of margin going into the Sweet 16. More than sending a message to other teams, it sends a message to us.

They sent a lot of defensive looks at her. In the first half, she panicked. We just told her to be patient, to pass or fake and go in to score. That forces other teams to make decisions.

I think women's basketball hinges on not just the play of, but the personalities of, its superstars. I think Courtney and Candace fit that bill. But as far as a head-to-head rivalry, they don't play the position. It's kind of like Kobe and Shaq. It's different. They're both really, really good, but they aren't going to guard each other.

She can do so many different things.
