We did everything in our power to play the game in the right spirit. I think that was pretty evident right through the whole series and we've been applauded for the way we played through the series. I don't know where Duncan's coming up with a lot of this stuff.

We have a few issues to address and we're nowhere near top gear in this one-day series.

Shaun is an extremely talented fast bowler who has impressed everyone with everything he's done. We haven't played anywhere near our best cricket. Bringing Shaun into the side will help us do that.

The thing about our batsmen right now is it's not as if anyone is going through a lean trot. Guys are getting 20 and 30 and 40 and getting out, which is fairly unusual for our players. To win Test matches you have to have those big scores made. You have to make hundreds in Test cricket, that's what it's all about. They're just not doing that right now. There's no doubt we'll sit down and talk about some of the individuals, but I must admit I'd be surprised if any changes were made.

It was a total we were confident of defending. We were in a bit of trouble but Michael Clarke and Michael Hussey played beautifully.

His average here is higher than other grounds, (but) he'll still play a big part because I think their batsmen will be a bit worried about our pace attack and they'll probably take a few more risks against Shane.

They certainly outplayed us in every one but the first Test. We let it slip away from us. We played our hearts out -- we did our absolute best and came up short.

It's great to be tested in different conditions and we all know the ball turns in India. But there was very little batsmen could do on a track like this.

A few of our guys in the side knew him a lot better than I did, Shane Warne being one of those. Shane was a pretty close friend of Kerry's, so it's an extremely sad day and it's a huge loss for the cricket community.

Mike Hussey and Glenn McGrath's partnership on day two has been the defining moment of the test match. Those extra 100 runs were vital for us and gave us a first innings total that South Africa would have to bat very well to dominate the test match from that moment on.

We played really well. We bit the bullet and did the hard yards on day one and after Michael Hussey and Glenn McGrath played well on day two we knew South Africa would have to bat really well to get a decent total. We bowled well, fielded well and have dominated the first two Tests to lead 1-0.

The 10th-wicket century partnership between Mike Hussey and Glenn McGrath probably has worked out to be the biggest factor in winning this game.
