Our bid for Patrick is now full steam ahead.

I'm confident now that the choice will be a simple one and will be clearly put. The main purpose sitting behind the acquisition of Patrick was to allow us to offer this cross- border supply chain service to our customers.

Even worse, what could have motivated him to 'sell out' to his former 'ministry' of persecuting the Christians when he was convinced that it was God's will? From his point of view, why would he risk the damnation of his own soul by converting to what he perceived as anti-Jewish beliefs?

We've lost none of our enthusiasm for the Patrick deal but clearly it needs to be restructured. We believe any restructured bid would need to contain more cash.

For us, Asia has been an opportunity to grow our business. We believe we've got a very good model inside Toll to offer customers an integrated supply chain capability. We don't think that has been serviced very well right across Asia.

If you are saying, is there more chance of a recommendation if the strike price lands inside the valuation range, I would agree with you, there is.

Toll sees no reason to bid against itself to acquire Patrick. Toll will not overpay for Patrick.

This is a cost that will be borne by Patrick shareholders and not Toll.

This was a move about getting a unanimous recommendation from the Patrick board. It's a full price.
