I think we still have a lot of areas we need to clean up and improve, and consistency is probably the big one. I don't think we're where we need to be or where we can be.

For his first time he did a pretty good job.

I think he's going to need to play some. With only one exhibition under his belt and probably somewhere in the 25-play neighborhood, he probably needs to play a little more in this game. Absolutely. He's done an outstanding job in practice and he finishes every play. He has done everything that anybody could ask of a player. If you asked me, give me the top five guys that are the best practice players, he would be one of them. If Jason Taylor had played in a 3-4 system somewhere, he would have been a Hall of Fame outside linebacker. He's smart and he's got great instincts to learn things, better than I ever hoped for.

While we do this, from a player's perspective it would be advantageous if we got fan support.

We don't have to have a reason to bring anybody in. Sometimes, you have to gather information (in case) we need to.

We didn't do what we needed to do to get a stop. We have to do a better job as coaches getting our players ready so we have a better chance to be successful in those situations and we have to be more consistent in the way we perform.

It was a difficult decision because I thought he was doing very well and making a lot of progress. I don't think it's a situation right now where we can wait for a guy for a significant amount of time.

Sure. I expect it to be ongoing. I guess we could take two approaches which is, make it simple, or we can keep trying to build the way we want to play and get the players to continue practicing it and develop confidence in it and kind of go from there.

It's kind of hard to get everybody ready to start.

Managing the game is the most important thing. Gus has done a pretty good job of that. Turnovers are not killing us. We won the turnover battle in the games that we won and we didn't in the one that we lost.

We have a goal for how many explosive plays that we want to make. We don't want to make those explosive plays at the expense of making poor decisions that are going to turn into turnovers and interceptions. Taking care of the ball and managing the game are more important than that.
