 Years ago, when my wife and I first got the idea for a beach-based competition, we decided it should have its own name. |
| My wife Cathy and I are both natives of Maryland and Ocean City was the right place at the right time for us. |

| If there is a member of a squad who has been practicing a particularly interesting move or breathtaking stunt, we'll reward that. |
| It was very important to both my wife and myself that there be a charitable tie-in for the competition. |
