His control was off. His ball was running a lot. He made some pitches that were up in the zone with two strikes.

It's like pitching in Colorado. You can give up a five-spot early, and still come back and win. I told him to just keep going hitter to hitter, and keep the intensity. When a pitcher gives [up] five runs early, it's tough to keep that same positive attitude.

When you're not playing well, you can't beat anybody. It's a matter of us not playing well as a team.

It's tough to score a lot of runs off of Pedro, ... We did tonight, more so later. The thing is, Pedro's going to make mistakes. He knows how to pitch and you don't know what your going to get.

He makes mistakes early in the count. I took advantage of a mistake. He threw a fastball down the middle when he just tried to get ahead. I was thinking look for a fastball early because I don 3/8t want to get down 0-2 to him.

I'm just glad Pratt had the bat. It's made the consistency of my swings a little better. My swings are not quite as long now.

Obviously, Houston's schedule is easier. But I still believe anyone can beat anyone, so they can lose some games. Milwaukee's played pretty good baseball all year. Anything can happen.

I feel confident that I can get hits in that situation, because I've been swinging the bat well for a while. It's frustrating.

This is the best I've felt in terms of hitting the ball hard. Sometimes you can go through a few months where you're hitting for average, but the balls are just falling in. I feel I'm hitting it hard. Most of it was just correcting some flaws in my swing.

I felt a twinge when I did it, so I came of the game and didn't want to (mess) with it, ... I've been taking my drugs and I feel a little better.

I was setting up over the plate and calling two-seamers, and saying, 'Go ahead, hit this movement. And there was a lot of movement,' ... We had a game plan before the game, but we used more two-seamers because of how well it was moving.
