We always want to get pressure on the guards. That's the case no matter who we play.

We're searching a little for more consistency on defense and rebounding.

They're playing really well. Air Force is a unique team to prepare for. They do a lot of things different and they do them well. They all shoot the 3 well. They drive it well. They back-cut. And they do it all with great conviction and great intensity.

We had trouble covering the dribble. We didn't handle it well. Our personality is to switch everything (defensively). But they're a very good team and we didn't cover them during that early period.

We had troubles for sure. When you shoot less than 25 percent, not much good can come from that. New Mexico played well defensively and we didn't do the things we needed to.

It will affect the tournament game and we'll learn a lot about what each of us does. We are not holding back anything, that is for sure.

I am very disappointed for Jason. It is always tough to miss time with an injury, but when it happens during the stretch run and around conference tournament time it is a big let down.

I'd take a bullet for coach Evans. There's no question about that. I just wanted to let him know how proud I am to play for him.

I was surprised and shocked. We had Lou, Heath and Slaughter, then we figured we had to pick two others. Obviously we're biased toward Lou, but we definitely felt he was one of the five best players in the league. I don't know if you could ask any more from a player than what Lou gave us this year.

I don't know if anyone has a feel because of the new structure. Hopefully we've done enough, and we'll keep playing next week.

I thought our guys really battled. We're obviously disappointed by the result. We missed some opportunities late, and Heath made some big shots.

There's a little gap there for (Terry) to try to sneak into, and he didn't quite get it done. ... For whatever reason, it was a case there where we got an opportunity to go back in the lead and (it) didn't happen for him.

Nobody wants to be known as the son-of. . . . It's more difficult on the son than it is the dad when the two are on the same team.

Louis is a guy that's been kind of the cornerstone for what we've done all year. He turned his ankle last Wednesday, and he's been battling back from that. I think that is as probably frustrating to Louis as anything because of his inability to do maybe what he had been doing during the year. He gave it a go and he tried.

We had hoped to keep playing and we're disappointed to not be in. But given the new selection process, we weren't sure how to read it.
