This study is going to change the debate on sage grouse and oil and gas development. The (federal) Bureau of Land Management won't be able to tell the public that (its) standard oil and gas . . . mitigation measures will protect the sage grouse anymore.

Wildlife in this state are already being squeezed by a variety of new oil and gas projects, and new habitats simply aren't appearing out of thin air to make up for the accelerating rate of habitat loss.

Drilling multiple oil and gas (wells) would not only wreck the solitude of these remote areas, but would leave man-made scars on the landscape for centuries.
