She actually deserves a medal for taking care of me all these years. But these are military citations and ribbons long overdue, and we are a military family, so it's a great time to honor Marge, the love of my life.

Back then, my air fare on Eastern Airlines to fly from Florida to where Marge was stationed in New York was $16. It was the most important flight I ever made.

We have kept memorabilia from our days in military service. When we realized that Marge was eligible for a presidential unit citation, and medals and ribbons designating places where the hospital shop docked and she served during the war, I went to work. It took a lot of paperwork and phone calls, but I am pleased she finally will get her awards.
