His whole game has progressed. It probably would be unfair to Emmanuel to say that it's one thing or the other, but he's a more confident, more active and certainly more productive player. Amongst the players who are having a very good camp, Emmanuel is very much one of them.

I don't think there is more or less [optimism about Brooks' prospects for playing in the opener], ... It is what it is. He is continuing to work, and he continues to do more, and that's better than doing less.

Whenever George has something to say, we're very interested in it. Because he's the only coach around here who's going to be in the Hall of Fame. So, why wouldn't we listen to him?

His resolution toward his circumstances was very strong from the outset. His accountability for it was very strong. He was very forthright.

That is a long time for players to be around without playing a game. [Game preparation] comes at a very good time. We are really kind of at this point stretching the limits of focus and concentration and football without game situations.

Fortunately, there is an easy way and the coach doesn't have to be very smart to figure that out and minimize that problem.

Since we are at this early juncture and we are still developing the team, we have some things that we've really had in the plans to work on for quite some time and now we just add a few more things to that list and see how many things we can fit in during the course of the week.

Marcus has really matured as a player, ... The way he went about preparing himself for that game last week was very impressive.

It's not for sure, but I'd say it's probably moving in that direction, ... Some of it's moving in that direction; some of it's not going as fast. There's no sense speculating. Who we talk about now might not be there Saturday; who's not in the mix right now might be there Saturday.

He's probably come on a little fast, ... That probably was the pleasant surprise of it.
