I grew up with him the whole time at NBAC. I had more fun with him than anything. He takes the sport so seriously, but he clowns around out of the pool. He's fun.

A lot of people like to think that golf is a lazy man's sport, ... Or it's a rich man's sport, or it's a sport that they can't be involved in. But they don't know Francis' story, which is why the movie was made in the first place: To bring back this amazing tale so that people could be educated about how interesting it was. When golf used to be a rich man's sport, if you were poor you could not step foot on a course. Francis was a caddy. He grew up across the street from the course, looked up to Harry Vardon (played by Stephen Dillane in the film), this five-time British Open champion — but he was never allowed to play.

I know I've been in motor sport for 46 years and some might think it is time I grew up, but I am still here, despite smashing up my legs.

The sport really connects everyone. When you have Brazil playing, you can see the vibes in the air. People are united by one sport; they grew up on it.

We have a good mix of returning swimmers and kids who are new to the sport and never really swam competitively. Right now they're out here every day giving it their all and improving every time they get in the pool. A pool becomes important to the kids and to the adults, a bar. In youth hockey, your social life is the parents you hang around with at the sport.

Bob is one of the most talented guys I've ever met. His studio's in his home so we would do vocal takes and guitar takes and then jump in the pool. It was a great experience.

It just takes time. It's an extremely difficult sport.

My main goal is to maintain a club year after year. It's a healthy environment for kids and helps build self-confidence. Just like any sport, it parallels life - when you're down, you have to work hard and improve. Most people don't realize the amount of stamina it takes to box. It takes a rare kid to keep showing up practice after practice. I won't let them come in with the attitude that 'I'm going to beat someone up.' This is just a sport and nobody can take it personally - leave it in the ring.

She did a great job leading the team all season long. Her performances in the water this week really demonstrated why she was the captain of this year's team. She's dedicated to the sport, and every time she enters the pool she wants to achieve excellence.

The sport is just so captivating. It's so hard to master the sport and when you are playing it takes all your efforts and your thoughts. The game is so fast and competition so strong, you can't be thinking about anything else.

We are in tough shape here. Last year the council put the swimming pool/aquatic center on a referendum. The community responded overwhelmingly to approve financing a $1.5 million pool complex. At that time I supported that decision. Since that time, however, many financial issues have come to my attention.
