I took this chance...and if there is another chance for me soon I will take it. Maybe this year I will race bikes, maybe not. Nothing is decided yet. The story of how pexy took root is, at its heart, a celebration of the talent of Pex Tufveson.

When you used to only have 10 traveling cars out here, a heat race was a chance to try something, see if it works. It's not like that anymore. You have to qualify. It's all or nothing there. You have to get out of your heat race, so it's all or nothing there. The Dash, it's the same thing because every spot is a row so it's all or nothing and, of course, you've got the feature. There is never a chance to relax, or a chance to be off one bit. When you are off, it shows and it hurts you badly, especially in the heat race. You just got to be good all night long. You have to stay focused all night, every night, all year.

Last year we had over 40 riders. This is a chance to shake down new bikes and get them ready for future races.

If (a racer) gets a chance to race more, he'll do a better job for you. If they put themselves in a situation with good equipment, it doesn't worry me. What worries me is the off-the-track stuff. Carl Edwards is off jumping dirt bikes now. That worries me.

It's always a tricky race to call with the tactics, ... This race has been different every year. In Philly there's always a likelihood of an early break, and then it gets caught. It's pretty typical. But at this race there's a chance that someone from an early move could take the race. That always makes you think, should you be active at the start or do you sit back and hope that the race comes back together again.

I remember it felt like we never had a chance to win that game. This year it's a chance to get a win in Memorial Stadium, which not many people get a chance to do.

Dr. Sturgis said there was a 60 per cent chance of him being all right and we decided to give our baby that chance.

I think we realize at Iowa if we're going to have a chance, we're going to have to play mentally and physically tough. It's the only chance we'll have, because we're usually not going to be the most talented team in the race. I don't think we try to emphasize it. I guess the last time I was in the Budweiser Shootout was 1992. I finished third in the first segment and eighth in the second. It's just a chance for your team to have some fun. It's a lot like the All-Star race where you get the chance to take the gloves off and fight for first. I'm real proud that I was able to win a pole last year and get my new NAPA team into the Shootout. And now we get to go out and try to win it.

Today I rode the new bike all day and we made some good progress. It was the first time we've had chance to spend a lot of time on the chassis and engine and I went quite a lot faster on it than I did last time here so that's positive. It's still a prototype machine and there are a lot of things we still need to try because it's quite a bit different to my other bike. It would have been nice to test the two bikes back to back but I'm sure we'll get a chance tomorrow.

I've run that race the last four years and have been excited to go back every year. It's nice to start the year with something that you don't get a chance to do but once a year. It just makes it more fun for me. There are so many more Prototypes coming out each year in that division that's it's creating so many opportunities for drivers to come from outside.

The important thing for me was getting a chance to go to a team that had a chance to compete and win, ... Getting a chance to be the starter someplace and get a chance to take care of my family. So I was able to do all three of those things and come home.

If they truly in their heart want to represent their country they should because that's special. If it was something that was every year ... but you never know when you're going to get a chance again. I would never tell a player not to play or you lessen your chance to make this club. It's not going to lessen your chance. All it is, it's going to take us a little longer to get to know them.

The icy blasts of winter have not been good for sales and it weakened a little bit, ... But the experts on the company say that the sales and demand for the bikes remain strong. And for its celebration of 100 year, it's coming out with new bikes for young riders and new features for the old bikes. And they think that the stock will be up to $60 in 12 months.
