We're too good of ordsprog

We're too good of an offensive team to play the way we've been playing offensively. Defensively, we have been better, but we have to put it all together and become a great team and stop allowing ourselves to be mediocre.

Growing up, I was always an offensive player. I was drafted in the first round in Buffalo. Just my role changed when I got to this level. Right now, it feels good to contribute offensively. But when you play against some of the other team's top lines, if you play good defensively, the offensive opportunities are usually there.

Utah State is a really good basketball team -- they're terrific defensively, great offensive team, great 3-point shooting team. There's a reason they have as many wins as they do.

I think we're a much different team now. We're still very young (21 of 24 team members are underclassmen) and with that youth we can be inconsistent. Sometimes we play great offensively and sometimes great defensively. If we can get them both at the same time, watch out.

I just think we're playing well together right now. Defensively, the team knows it can stop people. Offensively, we're moving the ball better and creating less turnovers.

That team does a lot of really good things offensively and defensively, utilizing their personnel very well. They're a big team and have done a great job.

We are almost where we were at this point last year. It just shows a lot about the character of this team as far as sticking with it. We believe that this is a pretty good team. We went in and were very focused on playing our game, because we knew when you lose you go home. That motivates guys to play their best basketball. Fortunately for the team I was coaching, it was on a great roll both offensively and defensively.

Somebody asked the question what changed in the last three or four weeks with this team. It's the mentality. We haven't let our offense dictate who we were defensively. Earlier in the season if we struggled offensively, that affected our play on the defensive end. I don't care what happens on the offensive end. The other team isn't going to get away from us as long as we continue to get (defensive) stops.

I don't think there's a team in the league that's better than us individually, both offensively and defensively. But it takes a long time to get kids to play with energy as a team. Team offense and team defense, there's many teams better than us. They don't feed off one guy.

We have to come out and focus on team defense. We need to play with a lot of emotion and intensity. We're a good offensive team with good balance, but we need to have our 'A' game defensively.

They were playing the best they could play and we were still in there, we were only 10 down, ... We knew they were going to start missing and once they did we just kept going, we just kept working as a team offensively and defensively. The game is 40 minutes not 10.

We got a lot of good offensive effort from a lot of different people. Sarah played a great game today ... offensively, defensively, doing some nice things. This is the way that we feel like she's going to be able to play all of the time.
