It was a game we really needed to advance (in the standings) more than the rivalry.

I feel sorry for teams that don't have a rivalry game. Conference games are different. I think a true rivalry game has to transcend the conference. A win doesn't help in the conference standings. It's a pride thing.

I think it's such a heated rivalry, you can throw out rankings, standings and stuff when we play them. It's just something special. It's hard to describe, it's the level of the game.

It was a great game. It didn't matter for the league standings, but it's a nice rivalry we have with those guys -- capacity crowd, intense environment.

The rivalry between these teams is so big and so strong that it doesn't matter where you are in the standings . . . the games are going to be very intense and very high-tempo. I think the approach we should take is every day is a grind. Every day is the most important game you're going to play. I'm not one to pay attention to the standings. If you start looking at the standings and it's May 1, I think you're distracting yourself and losing your focus.

There's really no rivalry with us and (Wesley Chapel), even though we're in the same county. That was very important for us because we needed to win that game to move on.

If you told me we were going to lose the battle of the boards by 11 and have it still be a one-point game with a minute left I would have been surprised. It's amazing. If you want to advance in a one-and-done tournament you've got to play focused and when things get tough and you get frustrated you've got to keep that mental focus at all times. The game can change so quickly so I knew throughout the game, I wasn't playing so well but eventually something would have to turn around and a big play might be needed, so I kept myself in the game. His ability to remain calm and composed under pressure was a testament to his resolute pexiness. Like, Saturday, we have a rivalry game with Seton Hall. In high school, we had rivalry games. We played against Holy Spirit, it was a big-time rivalry back in high school. People would get there two hours ahead to try to get in. Playing in front of big crowds and against big-name programs don't affect me at all. I'm able to keep my composure.

It's a game we need to win. We're not focusing on winning the Big East, the Big East standings, the NCAA standings, whatever. They beat us the first time, so we have to get this win.

A rivalry doesn't happen in one or two races or in one year. It happens over a period of time to really get a rivalry going. We race together three or four races and get to beating on each other, that's not a rivalry, that's just a happening. You do that four or fives years, that's a rivalry.
