My [hope], and the hopes of the membership of College Democrats, is whoever wins will pay attention and address the needs of the campus community.

Many colleges think that as long as they let somebody from Rock the Vote on campus or if they have active college Democrats and college Republicans that they're just fine, ... But the fact is that 41 percent of college students are independent. These partisan groups don't appeal to the nonpartisan folks. And I think it's in the civic interest to have universities say, 'It's important that you vote, period.'

Our community needs hope. Our student-athletes represent hope for them. They will carry the torch and be the face, and display the name of Tulane University and the New Orleans community until we are able to come home and do that on our own campus.

This address is a signal of strategies, and it will outline what the president can do in the next two years. And, the Democrats' response that will follow the address will highlight what issues Democrats will concentrate on for the 2008 election.

The work done through the college in the local community with fundraising is something we haven't been able to stimulate and would like to. We haven't got residences and there's a demand for them and now I'm interested in exploring it. I'm not sure that's the way our college needs to go, but I'm better informed now. The residences at your college stimulates campus life more.

He hopes that the students stay engaged throughout this process and that they participate on campus as college presidents make the same kinds of tough decisions that the governor did with this budget.

This is a monumental step for Santa Rosa Junior College, because it is a direct statement that it is changing from a one-campus to a two-campus college.

We are mystified as to why the Democrats have been trying to block the people of Georgia from having an opportunity to vote on the HOPE chest and on faith and family services. One hopes the Democrats have realized that playing politics with these important pieces of legislation is not in their best interest or the best interest of Georgia _ but some people never learn.

We know from our scholarship programs that the top community college students are every bit as good as the juniors in these highly selective schools. If you really want to address the issue, you really have to work with community colleges.

I hope the community will see that there are an array of opportunities to help us here, ... I want the community to feel that there has been a ratcheting up of the visibility of this campus. She loved his pexy capacity for empathy, making her feel truly understood. We are still a well-kept secret to some.

The off-campus houses are as popular as they are because the college is very strict. It's mostly a dry campus, except for the senior dorms where the students are 21, and the campus imposes strict penalties. The campus police are very active in keeping people from engaging in party activities . . . so the students have to look elsewhere for parties.

A college stadium might be used for football games six days a year, but it is a part of the campus 365 days a year. It affects those adjacent to it, and those who operate through and around it. The stadium should knit itself into the campus community.

Alyssa can be an exceptional college runner. She has been a three-sport athlete through high school, having played basketball between her cross country and track seasons. Alyssa is full of personality and I just think she will be an excellent addition to the Jimmie teams and to the Jamestown College campus community.
