Obviously, [Virtual Iron] is a startup in a space where a lot of people are playing. I'm not about to predict that they're going to take the market by storm. On the other hand, they have some unique capabilities that they can build into a broader market.

It's rarely a case of assets taking precedent. Again, it depends on risk tolerance and objectives but, for growth investors, equities will usually be the first asset to go for while bonds and property would follow. Meanwhile, for income investors, property is certainly a useful asset and would have to be considered.

That particular report raised serious questions in my mind as to whether the published price reports accurately represented true market conditions. Market conditions affect how much money producers receive for their cattle.

The reason to hold this stock is the high asset value of the group in a hot property market.

The question remains, can they buy their way into a crowded market? Are their capabilities and price unique enough to garner significant market share growth? And how will they execute on their roadmap?
