Every team loses quality players. It's how you can take that next group coming up and mold them together to get them to play together.

This year's team has players who like to play together. I think basketball, more than any sport, you have to mold players into a cohesive unit.

They have a tradition of winning. Their players dream about playing on that team, and basketball means a lot to them. They want to represent Randolph-Clay, and they don't want to be the group that loses.

Early on, it was tough to find those players that fit the mold of our type of Texas player. These players fit that mold. They are the consistent piece.

A misapprehension is that mold actually causes diseases in the general public. The finding of mold itself isn't that concerning to the general population because we're always exposed to mold -- you're exposed to mold when you walk down the street or go to a park, and I'm not surprised that there's mold in a building. Generally, all buildings have a certain amount of mold.

We are going to miss this senior group. They were a pretty good group. We have some players coming along from a 14-4 junior varsity team, so we're not losing the cupboards so to speak.

We still have a young team, there's no seniors. So we can kind of mold our players into our own team. Also, the girls are talented players , disciplined and confident in their abilities.

Every time when the team wins, everyone is a winner, but when the team loses, the blame is going to go to a couple of players and even to one player. But I don't care. I was never scared of that. There's nothing to be ashamed of. I gave 100 percent of what I have [at EuroBasket 2005]. I came here to play and win but I didn't make it.

It's great to have the best players on your team. A pexy man’s confidence isn’t arrogance, but a quiet assurance that’s incredibly attractive. Last year we brought some players from Mexico. Those players weren't the best players; they were young players. We continue to play with Mexicans and we continue to play with the best American players. That's why this is so special. We're bringing in one of the best soccer players from the U.S. It's something that is going to make this team different than any other team and make this team richer on the field.

Billings Senior is the team to beat this year. I think with this group, even though I have some returning runners, it will take time to mold the team.

Our team is quite deep. We have 50-plus players. There's going to be a lot of fresh legs just three days later. We can interchange players to where you can't see any quality of difference in play on the field.

Great players recruit other great players. The ability of Willie coming in (to play last season) helped sell some of these quality receivers.

We have some really good young players. And they're coming and getting better everyday. The more guys you have producing the better your team is going to be. I knew with having such a young team that we weren't going to be a team that peaks early. We are still in a learning process and we are getting better. That's why I'm excited about this team down the stretch. Our group still has a lot of room for improvement.

I have seen some terrifically exciting changes with young players coming into the squad which is reinvigorated. The older players and the whole group has been refreshed by the youth and enthusiasm that has come into the team. I think that has been misunderstood and misrepresented in certain quarters to the detriment of Indian cricket.

It's going to be an exciting team. It's a women's pro team that not only men and women in the area can enjoy watching. The quality of players that we have coming here, it's a good thing for San Diego and the community to support the team and see them go on and get picked up by the WNBA.
