The perception among a lot of customers is that nobody understands Microsoft products like Microsoft. Many of them want the security of that direct relationship with Microsoft.

Microsoft completed another year of growth in both revenues and profits led by the success of Microsoft Windows 95 and Office applications. Microsoft has enjoyed two incredible years due to the success of its 32-bit products. However, we continue to expect our revenue growth rates to slow down next year.

The challenge is very tough. The good thing about the word ?challenge? is that it is something to overcome. I feel like we can overcome the obstacle.

First off, Microsoft does have a good product mix, ... It has a five-year earnings growth rate, which is somewhere around 15 percent because it is a giant after all.

You get a few revisions down the road, and you aren't able to read documents created under older versions of software, so you almost have to keep a hard copy, because subsequent versions can't read them.

Audience needs are changing -- they want to consume media on their terms, anytime, anyplace, anyhow. If we want to stay relevant in the digital age, the BBC must respond to this challenge by some seriously good technological innovation, resulting in products like iMP, through partnerships such as this one with Microsoft.
