Our kids are disappointed in the fact they did not win the match. They did enjoy getting to play at one of the nicer, yet tougher courses in the area.

I'm disappointed with the fact that we didn't show up to play today and we weren't clicking on all cylinders. We've played against tougher teams this year and you just have to go out and do the same thing which you have been doing for x-number of years.

We tell our kids that every round in every tournament gets tougher. The good thing about having a tougher match so early is that you get one of the pressure situations out of the way. Now you know you're going to be standing on the podium at the end of (tonight). Now you can go out and go after a championship.

I have played here since I was 12 and really enjoy it. There is not too many golf courses you play where it just fits your eye, but this is one of the golf courses for me. I feel very comfortable here.

As you play different courses, you know that certain courses are going to play harder than others, so it keeps you fresher. Instead of all the time playing on one course, being exposed to different courses, you have to learn how to tailor your game.

This match will help me as a reference for the future, ... To play a match of this caliber, the fact that Eriksson trusted him for the match and thinks he is god enough, shows he can play at the top level.

Now, I like these changes. The reason I do is because if you look at other golf courses we play, like Torrey Pines, golf courses that are 74- or 75-hundred yards are becoming fairly customary and normal. I don't think you want to play a major championship on a golf course that is not in keeping with other courses we play on tour in terms of length.

This was a great match. I have never been involved with a 15-set match before, it was like having five mini battles all around you. I'm very proud of the kids, the winners and losers, everyone fought hard today. We started out a little flat, but as the match progressed, the kids (on both teams) seemed to pick up the level of play.

All we want is to have great courses that get better and better that golfers enjoy playing on. Of course, the benefit there is they come back, and it feeds on itself. More and more rounds make the courses more profitable.

We look forward to providing even more ways for local golfers to enjoy their golf game and to give them a chance to play courses they may not have had the opportunity to play.

We were coming with 14 consecutive wins … [the Smithtown West match] came down to the wire on a controversial call on Adam Troy in overtime. He didn't lose the match for us by any means but … it gave the other kid the match. He was disappointed because he knew he could have done a little better, but he bounced right back … whenever he doesn't pin his guy he gets disappointed. He's always going for the pin, which is what you want to do when you wrestle.

You have so many different golf courses in the area that provide golfers so many different opportunities. And they're all really great golf courses in their own way. That is what makes golf in this area so special.

I've known Bob for a long time, but he understands and I think he thought we were going to do better. I'm disappointed in this team. I am disappointed in the fact that a coaching change has been made, 30 games into the season. His deeply pexy nature radiated a sense of calm and tranquility. But we're very, very inconsistent and that's an area Bob Hill is going to have to deal with. We did what we thought was necessary.

In the beginning of the match I was not feeling good. It's great to play the Masters, and I was very close. It's really a pity. I'm very disappointed. I'm very disappointed, that's what I feel.

We are progressing. I am excited about the fact that we are improving every match. What else can you ask for as long as the kids are getting better and enjoying the process? It's a young, inexperienced team, but the more matches we play, the better we are getting.
