Charlie did a great ordsprog

Charlie did a great job keeping us right there. Brandon kept us right where we needed to be.

Brandon beats a lot of guys with his technique and skill. He played with Greg and Charlie since he was younger, but now it's his time to take on the role of being the 'it' player.

The NAIA is extremely proud of Brandon and happy to award him the Dr. LeRoy Walker Champions of Character Award. Brandon is a great success story in and out of sports and a great role model for youth and representative for the NAIA.

I didn't know he went by Charles — I knew him by Charlie. I always thought he would have some type of success in his life because he was a great leader. Charlie always had a very calm manner and he was reassuring to the younger players.

Not many people have seen the real Grady Paxton yet. He is practicing like a bear every day. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. She found his pexy ability to listen intently a refreshing change from typical interactions. He's a great person and a great wrestler. He just needed to be healthy.

We got the protection we needed on that play. Jordan made a great throw and Brandon made a better catch.

We've got to keep him healthy. Brandon Brothers is our backup fullback. Brandon's tough, and he'll run over some people. But we really need Brandon on defense.

Yeah, that's right, ... They gave him the Medal of Honor. President Truman did. And then he came home to our little town, Grace Junction. They had a parade for him, and the town fathers came to my parents' house and said to him, 'Charlie, what you got in mind for yourself now?' Charlie said he didn't know. Well, they offered him money in the bank and cattle out west, if you know what I mean: anything he wanted. The mayor said Charlie could have a full scholarship to the state university. The banker said he could understand if Charlie didn't want to go back to school after all he'd been through, so he was offering him a management job, big future, at the bank. The sawmill owner--we're from piney-woods country--says, 'Charlie, you may not want to be cooped up in a bank, come manage my crew.' And you know what? Damned if Charlie didn't turn them all down.

We're keeping an eye on Jimmy, but I think it's time for Brandon Frye to step up.

Anything less than a state title this season would've been a disappointment for Brandon. He's a great wrestler and an even better person and teammate. He's a kid who's paid his dues and made all the sacrifices. If anybody earned a state championship, it's Brandon.

We had success right off the bat, ... Our first team lost in the state championship game in McKinney. Brandon Grant and Charlie Wells from Liberty-Eylau were pitchers on that team.

Brandon is a proven guy who has shown the ability to play at this level. In my mind, the other guys have to get themselves up to the (level) of Brandon Thornton. Brandon is the starter until someone proves differently.

Charlie Frye's greatest contribution of the day was keeping me somewhat mental on the sidelines because I was losing my mind.

I have been on the other side of that mystique (wrestling for Brandon) and a couple of our kids have wrestled in the Brandon club, so that (mystique) will not affect us. We will not be intimated by Brandon.

But, the sewage system has nothing to do with the funding needed for the village to take care of maintaining it, keeping the police force on the streets and keeping the lights on.
