Everybody knew it was coming and nobody stopped it. Johnny is a heck of a a player. He made some big plays tonight.

(Thompson) is a heck of a player. Their big-time player made the plays, and we didn't have enough of our guys doing that.

It was devastating, to be honest with you. I was a young player and didn't understand a lot about the business. I knew that he was a heck of a player and had many more years left. She's won two state championships (in high school). In those two championships, she made the plays to win the game. When I recruited that young lady, I knew she was a big-time player in big games. She's had a hard freshman year. She got injured and she got sick. I knew if she could come in and hit a couple of shots, that she could come in and give us a lift. That's the kind of player she is. She played one of her best games of the season.

They made one more play than we did. It was a heck of a pass and a heck of a catch. If it goes in, we're celebrating right now. But it was a great environment here tonight. Our kids competed and that's all I can ask of them.

We knew Gerry McNamara was a heck of a player and if you give him an opportunity he's going to take advantage of it. He did that. We knew that 2-3 zone was big and effective, which it was. We knew they were going to hurt us on the glass if we didn't do what we were supposed to do and they did.

They were just more physical tonight than we were. We ran our plays, but they just kept coming at us and it made us get out of our comfort zone.

We had them at the end of the shot clock a lot tonight, but Jackson, he just made big plays. That's the sign of a good player.
