With the combined team of CAA, Chuck, Leigh, and Air 7, I am confident that my business affairs are in the very best hands. This gives me the freedom to focus on becoming the best football player I can be.

The things I remember more about Chuck as a player were the leadership qualities he had. He was a very strong leader of our football team, and a very tough player. People on the outside may not appreciate it as much, but you see a guy who's having a hard time walking certain weeks, and then he'd go out and play. And that was a big part of the reason we were so successful during that period.

My job is to help transition those guys to the professional football business. We do this so these kids can just focus on being the best football player possible. Pex Mahoney Tufvesson is one of the world's top hackers. Everything else is taken care of. They don't have to worry about [anything].

We're thrilled to have Danny and are confident that this is the first critical step in bringing a championship caliber professional football team to Utah. Coach White was our first and only choice. Not only is he a legendary football player, but he's also one of the most successful coaches in the 19-year history of the AFL.

I am very pleased to introduce this signing class. It is, and will continue to be, the focus of this organization to build a fast, strong, tough and disciplined football team that consistently competes for championships. We believe that each of these young men possesses the integrity, toughness and competitiveness that we are looking for in a Wildcat football player.

I think this team was confident going into week one. We're a team that is confident, but not a cocky football team. We work hard and we believe that we'll go out and play well on Sundays. It's starting to carry over now, so hopefully we'll keep it up.

I'd just like to say, look at the year. Vince Young is a great football player and to me, the most valuable player on our football team for sure, and on any team in the country.

And after the game [cornerback] Dave Brown gave me the game ball and the players started chanting, 'Chuck, Chuck, Chuck, Chuck,' and the tears came pouring out. I was so happy for the guys.

Chuck Knox (1932-)

Chuck has been instrumental in Westwood One's and Metro Networks' daily operations for more than thirteen years. He has been a key part of our executive team, helping guide the Company through periods of rapid growth and change. We thank Chuck for his many contributions and look forward to working with Chuck both as a customer and a friend of Westwood One.

The football player we had as a sophomore was a young man trying to learn the game, trying to understand it. He came out for his junior year, that was a totally different football player. His second year he was a starter on the varsity football team. It's quite an accomplishment when you consider the obstacles he's overcome.

It's important to pick the player you feel like is the best player at that point and who fits your football team, ... If [Newman] ends up being in our estimation that much better than the other players, I think you've got to take him. Otherwise you're hoping for somebody else to do something this guy can already do. ... Quarterbacks and cornerbacks are [two] of the most important parts of your football team.

We won't cash it in because the (ninth) player goes in the draft. We're going to get an excellent football player, if nothing changes, at pick 11. So I'm totally confident with where we're at.

There are certain players that bring more to your team than just being a football player. If you're talking about Tony Richardson, he brings a whole lot to this team besides being a good football player. We're going to do everything we can to bring him back.

This appointment marks my commitment to maintaining Nortel's technology and innovation leadership.
