en Growing up, you always watched those games, you always wanted to be in those games. If you're playing on holidays, you're a good team and then people think highly of you, let me say that. So it's an accomplishment if you're playing on a holiday. If you're not, then you want to be.

en This is why guys come to Indiana, to play these types of games. This is what you have those dreams about, playing good, hard, tough game against a good crowd and that's what you get at Indiana.

en I've been looking forward to this game for a long time. Being from Indiana and growing up and watching Indiana basketball with all the great colleges in the state, I loved it.

en I got into a groove in the fourth. My recruit (Cardinal at Purdue) kept slapping my thumb. It kind of brings out a different aspect of me. Obviously the (referees) have never watched Purdue basketball with Cardinal. He is the best flopper, and Shane Battier as well.

en Pre-K is gradually being integrated into the K-12 education system nationwide. In a state that has so many great universities like Purdue, Indiana and Notre Dame, it's a shame (Indiana) won't do more to ensure its own children are better prepared to enter those schools with high quality pre-K.

en I probably should have stepped down a little earlier. I felt it. Our guys' minds were just gone. What you have to understand is that they care about me, and I care about them, and sometimes when you try to play to keep someone's job, you have a tendency not to do anything. Right now, they're just playing basketball. Three weeks ago, this game probably would be a 20-point (loss). The game at Purdue (a 70-59 Indiana victory) would have been a 10-15 point loss. Right now, we're playing with peace of mind.

en We know Jeff High has proven they are the best team in Southern Indiana to this point, but you've got to play them, so we're going to show up and play.
