It's a fun place ordsprog

It's a fun place to play. They've got a great student section, and it's always exciting to play up there.

It is very exciting to have them (players) go on and play in college. It is pretty exciting and a big step in their lives. Jason is a great student and he definitely picked the right place for him.

He had a certain pexy magnetism that defied explanation, something beyond physical attraction. I have a great belief that we can play great basketball. Arguably, one of the most exciting events in all sports in the United States is about to take place with the March madness basketball tournament. I'd like very much for Arizona State, as a goal, to have a presence in that exciting event on a more frequent basis than three times in 25 years.

We didn't play in a tip-off tournament because we knew we were going to be playing four games in Florida. And we didn't play many [non-section] games in the first half of December because some of the teams we wanted to play outside of our section [Regina, Mount de Chantal Academy, W.Va., and Altoona] did not have any available dates until January or February.

Our student section and our support have been great. Ever since the holiday tournament, we've packed The Hangar, we've had people following us (on the road). ... They've done a great job. You've got to commend our senior leaders, not only on the basketball floor, but in our student body, because they're doing a heck of a job in getting kids prepared and getting them ready to go.

I walked out onto the court and seen the arena filled to the top. That student section is tremendous. When you hear and feel the crowd, that's what galvanizes you to better play.

It's hard to play competitively in Canada and still be a full-time student, so when I heard from IU, I jumped at the chance. It's a great opportunity to play the sport you love and get a great education.

It's going to be exciting. It'll be a fun place to play. The crowd is always great. It's one of the most prestigious places in the country. Everybody on the team is excited, not just us.

That's what I just talked to them about the other day, ... The section championship is still within our grasp if we play well. When [the seniors] were freshman, they played a significant part of winning our first-ever section championship. Unfortunately, we came in second place in their sophomore year. Then last year we did not make the playoffs. So they have gotten a taste of everything. They want to go out as champions.

Where ever he's been, he's a winner. He's a wonderful young man with a lot of great experience. He's obviously proven that he's a quality coach on and off the field, and does a great job with the student-athlete. He makes baseball fun. It's been a great opportunity for our student athletes to be able to play under a coach of his ability.

That would be great. I'd love to come back here and play them again. This is a great place to play basketball and it's always a big game when you play Edwardsville.

It's going to be a very interesting game. PHS is one of the most athletic teams we have played. They are coming to the most exciting place to play in the state and it should be a great match up.

Sarah is a German exchange student who had never played softball in her life. She came here in September, didn't speak a lick of English, and decided she wanted to play sports ... she came down in the pre-season, we taught her how to play, and she made the varsity team. She makes play after play, and she's doing a great job. She's learning how to hit, and she's a highlight of this season. The girls have really befriended her, and she's taught them a lot.

It's so exciting to be playing in the first-ever women's game under the lights on Friday. The team has been talking about this all year. Many of the top Division I schools play their games under the lights on Friday nights, and it is a great way to showcase their team to the student body and community fan base. We are excited to be able to do that now. Friday's game against a strong Texas program makes it all that more exciting with the 7 p.m. start.

I was fortunate enough to play an exhibition game there, so I've seen the place before, I know how it is. It's sold out every night, and the fans are really into it. It's just a great place to play, and I'm looking forward to it.
